Brighton Festival is the UK’s leading annual celebration of the arts, with events taking place in venues both familiar and unusual across Brighton & Hove for three weeks every May. This year, the Festival boasts an eclectic line-up spanning music, theatre, dance, visual art, film, comedy, debate and spoken word, with visual artist David Shrigley as Guest Director.

8pm - late: A night out to remember at Brownton Abbey. Celestial beings from queer dimensions will transform Brighton Dome into a kaleidoscopic off-world temple. Congregate with your fam, drench yourself in contemporary ritual, and get transcendental on the dance floor! 

Sat 26 May

1.30pm: A spot of Shakespeare in the great outdoors with The Tempest at Brighton Open Air Theatre.

Sun 27 May

11am: Experience a bold retelling of Herman Hesse’s classic fairytale I Wish I Was a Mountain with writer, performer and former Glastonbury Poetry Slam champion Toby Thompson.
